British Academy and Royal Society International Fellowships 2024
Overview: The International Fellowships Programme, jointly administered by the British Academy and the Royal Society, is inviting applications for 2024. This program offers early career researchers the opportunity to work for two years at a UK institution, fostering international collaborations and building a globally connected research and innovation workforce.
Aims: The primary objectives of the International Fellowships Programme are to attract and retain international early career researchers in the UK, facilitate high-quality and innovative research, provide opportunities for skills and knowledge transfer, and establish long-term relationships through networking and the alumni program.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Hold a PhD or be in the final stages, with the completion (including viva) before the Fellowship start date.
- Have no more than seven years of active full-time postdoctoral experience (excluding career breaks and including teaching or industry experience).
- Be working outside the UK and not hold UK citizenship.
- Be proficient in oral and written English.
- Propose a clear and mutually beneficial research project with a UK host researcher.

Duration and Value of Award:
- The fellowship spans two years.
- Awarded at 80% Full Economic Cost (FEC).
- Research expenses of up to £12,000 and relocation costs of up to £8,000 can be requested.
- Applicants need to justify the requested expenses and relocation costs in their application.
