The Research Fellowships program is committed to achieving several key objectives:

Eligibility and Application Process
Applications are welcome from early-career researchers worldwide who have been awarded their PhD within the last four years. The scheme, funded by the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT), provides funding for five years, with each application capped at a maximum contribution of £625,000 over the period, covering 80% of full economic costs.
To ensure diversity and inclusion, the Royal Academy of Engineering welcomes applications from all underrepresented groups across engineering. It is our commitment to ensure that no applicant is disadvantaged based on factors such as age, disability, gender, race, or sexual orientation.
