National Youth Agri-Innovation Challenge: Empowering Young Nepali Agri-Entrepreneurs (Top three startups receive NPR 100,000 each)

Are you a young Nepali entrepreneur with a passion for agriculture and innovation? Then the National Youth Agri-Innovation Challenge is for you! This exciting program, supported by FAO and UNDP and implemented by Youth Innovation Lab, is designed to empower young agri-preneurs from all seven provinces of Nepal.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Program Overview: The challenge aims to support early-stage and growing startups in the agri-food sector. Through a two-day residential bootcamp in Kathmandu, participants will gain valuable skills, network with industry experts, and compete for funding.
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Age: 18-31 years old Nepali citizen
  • Industry: Agri-Food Sector (farming, food processing, agri-tech, supply chain management, organic/sustainable agriculture)
  • Business Registration: Registered on or after July 2022
  • Team Composition: Two individuals per startup, with at least one female representative
  • Availability: Attend bootcamp July 15-17, 2024
  • Applications from startups led by diverse groups (indigenous youth, women, LGBTIQA+, persons with disabilities, religious minorities) are strongly encouraged.
