Join IHRB as Programme Manager for Built Environment

The Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) is seeking a Programme Manager to lead its Built Environment programme in Spain and the wider region. This role focuses on promoting human rights in the built environment, addressing issues like non-discrimination, inclusion, adequate housing, health, and workers’ rights.

Key Responsibilities:
– Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage a network of businesses, policymakers, and civil society organizations to advance a just transition in the Spanish built environment.
– Policy Influence and Advocacy: Identify leverage points and advocate for policy changes to protect human rights during the green transition.
– Project Management: Track milestones, manage short-term consultants, and ensure timely delivery of programme initiatives.
– Communications: Develop key messaging, engage with media, and represent IHRB at events.
– Programmatic Support: Contribute to the overall strategy, support the Dignity by Design framework, and other emerging initiatives.
– Fundraising: Assist in donor research, proposal writing, and tracking deliverables.

Qualifications:
– Deep understanding of the built environment sector and human rights.
– Strong network within Spain’s built environment stakeholders.
– Proven track record of influencing policy and engaging with businesses on social and environmental impacts.
– Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
– Experience in programme management and event facilitation.

Details:
– Start Date: October 2024
– Location: Remote/Home-based in Spain
– Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension
– Pay: €5,279 – €6,428 per month
