African Union Call for Registration of Civil society organization Working on Peace and Security in Africa.
The Africa Union Peace and Security Council (PSC), together with the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), is seeking to enhance the participation of Civil society in the work of the African Union and the PSC by developing a centralised database of CSOs active in peace and security in Africa
Why?
· To create a credible database of CSOs and Networks active in the area of Peace and Security that can provide input and support the work of the AU Peace and Security Council.
· Establish a standby platform of CSOs that can be engaged by the African Union and Regional Economic Communities (RECs) in all aspects of peace and security including conflict prevention, resolution, post-conflict reconstruction and development at the national, regional and continental levels.
What do you need to do?
If you are a legally registered CSO in an African Union member state, simply register below. If you know any other CSOs working in this area or have a database feel free to share /email them directly to ECOSOCC@africa-union.org
