Calling All Young Filmmakers: Submit Your Video to PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2024!
Exciting news! The 2024 edition of PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is now accepting submissions. If you’re passionate about migration, diversity, and social inclusion, this is your chance to showcase your creativity and make a difference.
What is PLURAL+?
PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is a special initiative by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). It’s a platform that invites young people from all over the world to share their unique perspectives on pressing global issues through original and imaginative videos.
Why Participate?
By submitting your video to PLURAL+, you’re not just creating art—you’re becoming a voice for positive change. In a world often divided by intolerance, PLURAL+ empowers youth to promote understanding and acceptance through the power of storytelling.
Who Can Enter?
If you’re under 25 years old and have a story to tell about migration, diversity, social inclusion, or combating xenophobia, we want to hear from you! You can participate in one of three age categories:
👧 12 years old and under 👦 13 to 17 years old 🧑 18 to 25 years old
Your video can be of any genre—animation, documentary, music video, comedy, you name it! As long as it sparks meaningful conversations about the themes of PLURAL+, it’s welcome here.
How to Enter?
Submitting your video is easy. Just make sure it meets the following criteria:
🕒 Duration: Between 1 and 5 minutes 📝 Language: English or with English subtitles 📅 Production Date: After January 1, 2021
If your video gets selected, you’ll need to provide a digital copy in one of several formats. And don’t worry about technical perfection—we value creativity and storytelling above all else!
Recognition and Partnerships
Filmmakers whose videos receive recognition will be awarded digital certificates. Even if your video doesn’t win, you’ll still receive a certificate of participation. Plus, PLURAL+ is supported by a network of international partners who are passionate about amplifying youth voices.
