Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program 2025

The Asia Foundation Development Fellows program is now accepting applications for the 2025 cohort. This prestigious program is designed for highly talented Asian individuals under the age of 40 to enhance their leadership skills, knowledge of Asian development, professional networks, and international exposure. This year, the program focuses on Climate Action, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions to address climate change.

Program Highlights:

• Spring 2025 Leadership Training Program and Study Tour:
  • Location: Nepal
  • Dates: February 17-28, 2025
  • Features: Leadership training, site visits, and sessions on self-awareness and wellness.
• Fall 2025 Leadership Dialogue and Exchange Program:
  • Location: United States
  • Dates: October 6-17, 2025
  • Features: Policy discussions, leadership development, and networking opportunities.
• Professional Development Award:
  • Amount: Up to $5,000 per Fellow
  • Purpose: Support personalized plans for leadership and professional growth.
• Executive Coaching & Mentoring:
  • One-on-one executive coaching sessions.
  • Mentorship tailored to each Fellow’s background and interests.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience and commitment to climate action.
• Proven leadership in professional fields or communities.
• Under 40 years of age by January 1, 2025.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to participate in all program components.
• Eligible to secure a visa for travel to the United States.
• Resident national or citizen of eligible countries in Asia and the Pacific.

Selection Process:

The selection process is highly competitive, involving thorough evaluation by The Asia Foundation and a distinguished committee. Fellows are chosen based on merit, without regard to gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic background, marital status, or financial need.

Application Timeline:

• June 10 to July 29, 2024: Application period
• August to November 2024: Internal review
• November to December 2024: Final selection and announcement
