The UNSSC operates through two departments: Learning and Knowledge Services (LKS) and Integrated Business Services (IBC). The IBC supports UNSSC’s Directorate and programmes through Administrative Services, Digital Learning Services, and Client Management Services.
Description of Duties:
Under the supervision of the IT Officer and in coordination with the ICT Helpdesk Assistant, the intern will:
- Assist in installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and application software.
- Provide user support and troubleshooting for desktop operating systems and Office automation tools.
- Perform routine technical tasks such as changing hardware components and setting up video conferences.
- Maintain ICT asset inventory and ensure data recoverability.
- Assist in server/network equipment installation and management.
- Recommend solutions to enhance functionality and usability.
- Provide training to end-users and support video and group conferences.
Required Skills:
- Currently enrolled in or completed a University program in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols, tools, and network security is desirable.
- High motivation, teamwork ability, and a proactive attitude.
