Are you an African-American professional passionate about shaping U.S.-China relations? The African-American China Leadership Fellows Program (AACLF) is now accepting applications for its 2024 cohort!
Program Overview: AACLF is dedicated to nurturing mid-career African-American professionals with a keen interest in China. By bridging the gap in representation, we aim to bolster U.S. national security, competitiveness, and diversity. In its fourth year, the program provides selected fellows with mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and networking events to propel their careers forward.
Program Structure: Spanning 9 months from mid-April to mid-December, the program pairs fellows with experienced mentors for bi-monthly sessions and monthly cohort events. Fellows engage in career development activities, including communication, networking, and goal setting. The program concludes with an in-person trip to Washington DC, offering valuable networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- African-American professionals with a commitment to advancing China-focused careers
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese
- Strong drive and ambition to achieve career goals
- Experience studying or working in Mainland China and/or Taiwan
